American to connect Phoenix, BNA with nonstop flight


Service indicates airport will be connected to all of carrier’s U.S. hubs

American Airlines will commence providing nonstop service involving Nashville and Phoenix in November.

With the service, to becoming Nov. four, nonstop travel can be undertaken from Nashville International Airport to all American Airlines hubs in the United States. The new flights will be provided 4 occasions a week, when per day Thursdays via Sundays.

“This is good news and a plus for these traveling to Phoenix or connections to other places in the west,” Doug Kreulen, BNA president and CEO, stated in the release. “The expansion of nonstop service is normally a purpose and we continue to meet that challenge.”

American Airlines operates by way of Concourse C in BNA’s South Terminal. Of note, starting Tuesday, the airport is splitting into two distinct terminals as building gets underway in the center portion of the departures level. Passengers need to watch for colour-coded indicators (blue for South Terminal) to direct them to the appropriate safety checkpoint.

Southwest Airlines is the only other airline that flies from BNA to Phoenix nonstop.
