Colder fall weather is almost here.

Breezy and hazy Wednesday…

Northwesterly winds increased today, allowing temperatures to fall back into 70s. Hazy conditions from the forest fires raging in the western part of the country, did decrease a bit, but it certainly was noticeable. The haze should decrease with northerly winds tapping into “cleaner” air.

Colder air arrives…

A cold front is moving through the region from the north, and it is promising chilly weather. Expect highs to top out in the 60s Thursday, and through the weekend. The front has been dry with a few clouds, but we have seen no rain. Get ready for fall weather and possible frost to the north and northeast. The frost may gradually develop southward by the end of the week, so keep it tuned to News 19 for updates.

Pollen season continues…

Mold counts will remain high over the coming days, but the ragweed pollen counts should be in the moderate range for the next several days as the season gradually winds down..
