WHEN police had been referred to as out to a structural fire at Tiaro, they discovered far more than they bargained for.
Craig Lawrence Wilson pleaded guilty on Tuesday to possessing ammunition, possessing unsafe drugs, generating unsafe drugs and unlawful possession of a weapon.
The court heard police also discovered scissors applied to chop up the marijuana he had grown, a homemade silencer and a Winchester rifle in a camper on the home.
The firearm was stated to be applied to shoot paper targets and not for something malicious.
The majority of the cannabis plants discovered at the home had been seedlings, the court was told.
Wilson had a powerful perform history and many health-related concerns he was dealing with.
He had prior criminal history, but no new convictions had been recorded in 13 years.
He had also co-operated with police for the duration of their inquiries.
Magistrate Kurt Fowler told Wilson to keep out of problems.
He warned that following 456 plants had been discovered at his home, there was just about every likelihood police would verify up on Wilson once more.
Wilson was fined $2500 and convictions had been recorded.
