Library Hours

The Lancaster Public Library has extended its open hours.

Mondays 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesdays 1 – 7 p.m.
Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Thursdays 1 – 7 p.m.
Fridays 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Virtual Programming

Facebook Live Storytimes will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fridays, through Aug. 28. Ms. Meg will read stories and sing songs. Join in on the fun at www.facebook.com/LancasterLib/.

Virtual (online) Lego Club will be held at 10 a.m. Mondays, through Aug. 31. Families can post a picture of their creations on our Facebook page. A theme will be posted on our page to spark creativity. For all ages. Visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LancasterLib/.

Summer Reading Log will be held virtually. Running through Aug. 26, kids up to age 17 can submit an entry for every book they read to enter for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate to Bert’s Bikes. The gift certificates are compliments of Daniel Zwolinski. The more you read, the higher your chances are to win. Drawing will be held on Aug. 26 on Facebook Live. Virtual (online) Scavenger Hunt will be held at noon Mondays, through Aug. 31. Each Monday, we will post a three-item scavenger hunt on our Facebook page. Snap a picture of the items and post it in the comments section for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Frosty’s Ice Cream. A winner will be drawn Friday.

Escape the Fairy Tale (Virtual) Escape Room: Get lost in a fairy tale and test your knowledge on various classics by solving riddles and answering questions. Escape if you can! forms.gle/oYaV1N51F4gd79rG8

Virtual (online) Circus for All! Presented by Benjamin Berry will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30. In this program appropriate for all ages and levels of ability, Berry will teach participants how to make prop-based circus arts from common household materials; discuss the physical, emotional, and social benefits of practicing these circus arts; provide instruction for each; and end with a flashy circus performance. Virtual (online) SPCA Wildlife Storytime & Animal Meet and Greet will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13. Enjoy a story and meet an animal ambassador from the SPCA! Fun for the whole family. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library offers downloadable e-books, audiobooks and videos that can be listened to or viewed on your computer or portable device. There are no late fees.
