CASPER, Wyo –No injuries were reported Saturday when an SUV went through the glass into the dining area of Qdoba restaurant in east Casper.
Sergeant Hill of the Casper Police Department said a student driver likely depressed the gas instead of the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to break through the outer glass.
No customers were hurt, the restaurant’s owner, Nick Hall, told Oil City News.

“I can’t tell you how much I appreciate [Casper Fire-EMS],” Hall said, saying the firefighters immediately went to Home Depot to get plywood to board up the window. He said business resumed with barely an interruption.
“I did give the young man a hug,” he said of the driver, “because I can only imagine what he’s going through.”
The incident occurred shortly after noon Oct. 17.
